NEW YORK–A middle-aged Chinese woman cursed at and allegedly hit a teenager in Flushing, New York and then ran into a Chinese restaurant immediately afterwards and locked the door behind her.
The woman hit Ally Wang, a teenager who practices Falun Gong. Miss Wang recounted her story to reporters stating that at about 6:30 p.m. on June 20, she and her mother were walking near Main Street and 40th Street in Flushing when she noticed two women in a discussion. What caught Miss Wang's attention was that one of them held a stack of torn Epoch Times newspapers.
When Miss Wang approached closer, she heard the woman holding the torn newspapers asking the elderly woman in a wheelchair why she ripped the newspapers. The woman distributing The Epoch Times newspaper told the elderly woman that if she didn't want a copy, she was not obliged to take one, and it was not necessary to tear the newspapers up. The elderly woman continuously cursed at the other woman. Miss Wang then decided to take out her camera and snapped a couple of pictures.
At this time, a middle-aged woman also began cursing at them. Miss Wang turned her camera toward the woman to take a photo. The woman hit Miss Wang's camera with much force.

Miss Wang said, "My camera's lens was extended when she hit me, and the camera shut off by itself. I found that the lens was stuck and could not retract into the camera. I turned off the camera and turned it back on again. And then the woman used the newspaper to slap my face twice. It hurt a lot.
"When I pointed my camera at her again, she hit my hand really hard, and the camera was flung to my face. The corner of the camera hit the right side of my mouth. The outside of my mouth swelled up and it was very painful. My mother said I was bleeding."
After hitting Miss Wang, the woman and the elderly woman turned onto 40th Street. Miss Wang and her mother followed them.
Miss Wang said, "The woman walked very fast and went into Weizhongwei Restaurant. She locked the door behind her. My mother called the police. Two policemen arrived in 10 minutes. They collected information from us. Because the door to the restaurant was locked, they looked in through the window and knocked on it. After a while, another elderly woman opened the door."
Miss Wang said that although the second elderly woman told the policemen that Miss Wang harassed her friend, they did not believe her.
