Italy defeated France 2–nil to eliminate France from the UEFA Euro 2008 Championship.

France played much of the game with only ten players due to a player being sent off for a foul, but even with eleven France was unable to crack the Italian defense.

Holland edged Romania in the final game of Group C, scoring two goals in the second half.

If Romania had defeated the Netherlands, Italy would have been eliminated as well.
