FLUSHING, New York City—It's been three weeks since Chinese mobs attacked Falun Gong practitioners in Flushing, NY. A businessman, Hu, from China talked about his thoughts on Falun Gong after witnessing the incident and how he believes that Zhou Yongkang, the ninth ranking member of the powerful Politburo Standing Committee in China, was behind the incident.
"The shoddily built school buildings in Sichuan were built about ten years ago when Zhou was the Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Committee. That is why he is scared. He framed Falun Gong adherents for not helping to relieve the catastrophe in an attempt to divert the focus away from who was responsible for the deaths of the school children," said Hu.
Hu is a Christian and before the attack of Falun Gong in Flushing, he did not approve of Falun Gong and did not believe information on Falun Gong flyers. "After the incident in Flushing, I changed my mind and realized that Falun Gong adherents actually follow 'Truth, Compassion, Tolerance,'" said Hu. "Being a person of belief, I know how hard it is not to fight back.
"I learned my lesson from that incident. Falun Gong adherents are respectable. No Chinese group can uphold the truth like they do."
Hu had seen Falun Gong displays before, but felt the content was exaggerated. "I totally believed it this time. I saw them attacking an elderly person on U.S. territory and the senior's ear bled as a result. I knew the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was coming to an end.
"CNN host Cafferty described them as goons and thugs. The incident proves he was right."
Regarding the saying that Falun Gong celebrates and gloats over the catastrophe in Sichuan, Hu believed it was a totally false charge saying, "Didn't the CCP beat drums and strike gongs to welcome the Olympic torch the day after the quake?
"Because of China's one child policy, parents who lost their children under the debris of collapsed school buildings are in total desperation. This is not a small thing and the parents will definitely demand justice.
"The media and reporters have received (government) orders not to report on the corruption in the construction of the school buildings. This government colluded with businessmen and killed the innocent children. It is not exaggerating to say that the disaster is 30 percent natural and 70 percent man-made."
"Zhou Yongkang is very close to former leader Jiang Zemin and is in charge of persecuting Falun Gong."
"I personally think the CCP is stupid enough that it in fact promoted the image of Falun Gong followers," said Hu.
