FLUSHING, New York City—At 2:30 p.m., June 14, a pro-Communist man was arrested by the police near the Queens Library in Flushing after the man refused to follow a policeman's order to remove a sign around his neck and fought with the police.
On Saturday afternoon, a rally was held at one side of the Queens Library in Flushing to protest China's persecution of Falun Gong and to mark over 38 million people leaving the Chinese Communist Party and its two affiliated student leagues. Meanwhile, a pro-Communist group was across the street defaming Falun Gong and attempting to incite hatred.
At around 2:30 p.m., the police ordered a Chinese man in his 40's to remove a sign he was wearing that libeled Falun Gong as "Tax Payer Killer." When he refused to comply, the police removed the sign. The man began to argue with the police and fought for the sign. He was immediately arrested, handcuffed, and taken into custody in a police car.
After the arrest, the police dispersed the pro-Communist group that was across the street from the rally.
