The Divine Performing Arts has successfully ended its world tour in New York City. The New Tang Dynasty TV station (NTDTV) Chinese Spectacular received high regards from people of all walks of life around the world. The music and dance in the performance evoked a sense of pride for Chinese across the globe about their culture and helped the international community better understand Chinese tradition.
NTDTV continuously puts effort into reviving Chinese traditional culture- including its benevolent content and beautiful presentation. It hopes to bring back the spiritual beliefs and moral content in this culture, including respecting God, focusing on morality, cultivating the heart toward compassion, and other virtues. NTDTV also wants to present Chinese culture through various other expressions such as the culture of food and clothing, dance, vocal music, instrumental music, and photography.
Starting this July, NTDTV will host a series of worldwide competitions for the Chinese people. This is NTDTV's other effort to promote communication between different cultures and races. It also hopes to bring Chinese artists from around the world who have special talents and are willing to promote traditional culture together. We believe the competitions will have a profound effect on both East and West. They will bring a new trend of culture that will foster new cultural related manufacturing, education and commerce. The competitions include Chinese Figure Painting, Chinese Culinary, Chinese Photography, Chinese Traditional Martial Arts, Chinese Piano, Han Couture Design, Chinese Erhu (Violin), Chinese Vocal, and Chinese Classical Dance competitions.
One of the characteristics of Chinese culture is its comprehensive nature made up of various cultures. The flourishing Tang Dynasty was an era when various cultures and theories complimented each other. It was also the height of Buddhism, which came from India. NTDTV, drawing from the Tang Dynasty's cultural trove, will also hold competitions of Western arts such as photography, violin and piano in addition to the Chinese series. NTDTV will promote every form of traditional culture.
Over the past fifty years, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), through a series of political movements, including the Cultural Revolution, eradicated Chinese tradition and formed a peculiar communist culture in China. The CCP culture excludes respect of God, morality and other virtues, let alone benevolence and beautiful art forms. The NTDTV clearly rejects any form or factors that come from CCP culture.
At this time, the world is interested in understanding China. The NTDTV Global Competition series will help the world better understand the essence of Chinese culture and China's past and current situation. The competitions will also promote the revival of Chinese culture in the future and thus the revival of Chinese people.
