STOCKHOLM, Sweden—Erik Ehn was a nuclear chemist who worked at one of the first nuclear reactors in Berlin.
He was at the Chinese Spectacular in Stockholm on Easter Monday and said the show was perfection.
"Enormous. Really fantastic. A perfectionism. Perfection which you seldom see. That's what I think about it," he said.
"I think it was so perfect. Everything and the minutest detail was perfectly performed."
His favourite performance was the erhu, a two-stringed Chinese violin.
"It was beautiful. The expressions she gave to her music was very, very convincing...I liked that specially," he said.
He also enjoyed the dances, saying they were "enormous."
"I can't pick out one specially I think every dance was perfect," he said.
He said he found it difficult to understand why the Chinese Embassy would try to stop the show.
He said a member of parliament had said the embassy's actions were scandalous.
"It is very difficult to understand because it is so absurd to try to stop such a perfect a show...and the reason is of course is apparently of course because the Chinese Government do not like Falun Gong. I don't understand this, could you please explain this to me?"
"Nobody understands why somebody would try to stop an event like this. I don't understand why they try to stop Falun Gong."
She said the show was beautiful and he was very happy that he was invited to it.
Cajsa Zetterström, another audience attendee, says the Chinese Spectacular is so wonderful that she would like to recommend it to the world's leaders.
Ms. Zetterström works as a manager in the hotel industry. She was very impressed by the show during the intermission.
"I think it is wonderful. I would just like to go on enjoying [the second half]. Completely fantastic!"
"I think that it is good on the whole. It is impossible to say that one particular part is good, but the completeness is good."
She said the last performance before the intermission "Drummers of the Tang Court" is "very, very cool."
"But everything else is just as good. The drums are unbelievable ... It is so imperial and magnificent. It was powerful."
She enjoyed the variety in the show and said it was "magnificent and something that everyone must experience."
