TAINAN—The third performance of the Divine Performing Arts company in Tainan, Taiwan on March 1, attracted people from all walks of life—including Buddhists.

Shi Ruxuan, a Buddhist nun, came to the show last year and recommended it to more than 10 of her friends. One of them, Shi Jiangren, also a Buddhist said, "The order of the program is well arranged; it enlightens people to be benevolent. It is good to have people pursuing and learning benevolence, it is truly good!"

During the intermission, Shi Ruxuan said to the reporter that every program was very good. "Friends that I have invited to see the show also said: 'When the Divine Performing Arts come to Taiwan again, you must tell us.'"

She also said that the songs with words advising people to improve their character, to be benevolent, and to have self-respect were well sung. Ruxuan also liked 'The Risen Lotus Flower', which depicts the persecution of Falun Gong in China, she said it was "very good, educational and inspiring." She saw deeper meaning in the dance as well: "From a Buddhist standpoint, Falun Gong also advises people to be benevolent, hopes that there is no war, that people help each other and take care of each other, it makes people peaceful, therefore the persecution is wrong!" She added that if everyone could do exercises for health, take care of themselves, and be good people, society would become more peaceful.
