NEW YORK—"I am so glad that in the three days I am in New York, I have seen a miracle," said Italian Carmine Siniscalco, who attended the Divine Performing Arts' Chinese New Year Splendor during his brief stay in New York.
"I would love to bring it to my country, Italy," he said.
"It is quite a unique show, not because it is a Chinese show. Here there is an ancient Chinese culture behind this. This show is good for all the people where some poetry is inside them."
"In Italy we had some shows from China and Indonesia ...This kind of show has never been performed."
"I have been in China and seen so many shows, even in Italy where Chinese shows were performed. This is quite different; the performances are all very good, the scenery is fantastic and, especially, the light effects," said Mr. Siniscalco.
"With technology you can do miracles nowadays, but [they] have actually done miracles with this scenery."
Mr. Siniscalco, who is in the United States as a chief curator for an art exhibit organized by Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Egypt's Minister of Culture, added, "The costumes, you can see that they are studied for this kind of scenery."
The Chinese New Year Splendor continues in New York through Saturday, Feb. 9. For other shows in the Divine Performing Arts world tour, please visit: http://www.divineperformingarts.com/
