CHICAGO—The windy city's closing show of The Divine Performing Arts Chinese New Year Spectacular, enlightened and enriched the hearts of many.
"It was a very enlightening and colorful experience," explained Ann Smith of Chicago, "This is the first time I have ever experienced anything like this, it's really nice."
Ann's son Lee, commented on the beauty of the costumes "they were so awesome and so amazing, I loved all the colors."
As the performance encompassed 5,000 years of China's history, it gave new comers a clear understanding of it's enriched culture.
"Looking outside of my own history I didn't know much about the Chinese culture. Its so nice to be able to see something like this" commented Ann.
Jimmy Florek of Chicago, a salesman in the food industry explained, "This is my first time attending the performance, very moving and very exciting. All the performances are so well done."
Finishing up it's North America tour with 11 days at New York's Radio City Music Hall, the Divine Performing Arts will then head for Europe and the South Pacific. By the end of its tour, the Divine Performing Arts shows will have played to a live audience of 650,000 in over 60 cities and 14 countries.
