SAN FRANCISCO—The Chinese New Year Spectacular made its debut in San Francisco today at 2 p.m. at the Orpheum Theater.
One viewer, Melinda Jiong, an American whose husband is Chinese, brought him to the Orpheum Theater to see the Chinese New Year Spectacular. When asked what she thinks about the show, her first answer was "magical."
Specifically, she liked "Drummers of the Tang Court" and "Water Sleeves," though she said she thought they were all amazing. "Very magical" is the best way to describe it, she said.
Melinda saw an ad in the San Francisco Chronicle about the show.
There will be six more shows of the Chinese New Year Spectacular in San Francisco, including one tonight at 8 p.m. The Spectacular will be here until Saturday, before moving on to Radio City Hall in New York City.
