LOS ANGELES─Many Los Angeles residents spent part of their sunny long Martin Luther King (MLK) weekend experiencing the Chinese New Year Spectacular at the Nokia Theatre.

Former New Yorker, Dekota Sands, beamed with excitement saying "this is nothing like American entertainment; it is so refined, so cultural, so imaginative."

She felt strongly that anyone would enjoy the show, from young to old, and either gender.

"I loved the water sleeves and the movement. The backdrops and bright colors made for a visually beautiful stage," expressed Sands, who works in the mental health field,

Sands appreciates her creative nature.

"The Performance and the production were unlike anything I've ever seen before" concluded this very inspired viewer.

After this evening's performance, the show will continue on to Las Vegas and then San Francisco.

There are two more performances of the Spectacular before it travels to Las Vegas on Jan. 21 and then to San Francisco's Orpheum Theater for seven shows starting on Jan. 23 at 2:00 p.m.
