NEW YORK—In the great pageant of holiday celebrations, one of this season's shows is a stand-out. Holiday Wonders, which features traditional Chinese culture, dance, and music, by the world class performers of Divine Performing Arts. The show on Broadway masterfully weaves a unique blend of eastern and western culture together.
Audience reaction to Holiday Wonders, now in its second year, was particularly strong at the Sunday matinee. The crowd, full of families with children, was giving rave reviews even during the intermission.
"I've never seen anything like this," said Michelle from the Bronx, New York. "They are telling stories."
One audience member, Anja from Florida, noted that her fellow theater-goers were also uniquely involved in the performance. "The audience here is very involved, compared to Broadway," she said, adding that the positivity of the performers comes across in their demeanor. "They are very proud of the show, and I really appreciate that."

Founding Senior Producer of CNN and founding president of Headline News, Ted Kavanau, was also impressed with the show.
"Excellent! The whole concert ... everything done today was highly professional in every single way. We really enjoyed it. I had no idea of the complexity of the Chinese style and the skill it takes, it must take years of preparation."
Kavanau also expanded on the unique aspects of Chinese dance.
"I know Western music and Western ballet but some of things you see in Chinese dance you don't see in the West ... it's really a remarkable achievement ... It's good to learn about the positive side of Chinese culture."
Holiday Wonders will be performing through Wednesday December 26th at the Beacon Theater in Manhattan.
