TAIPEI—The Tibet Human Rights Organization revealed that China detained four Americans who were protesting the upcoming Beijing Olympic Games in the Himalaya area on behalf of Tibet.

Hong Kong's Mingpao News (www.mingpaonews.com) agency has confirmed that one of the arrested Americans is also Tibetan.

Some noticed that the protesters held a banner which reads, "One World, One Dream, Free Tibet in 2008."

Arrests occurred on a campground where Chinese athletes practice passing the Olympic torch in preparation for the upcoming games.

China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet commented on this incident. Beijing has been promoting its 2008 Olympics with the slogan, "One World, One Dream."
