Editor's note: Recently, Sound of Hope reporters Ai Hui and Yi Yuhan interviewed Mr. An from Guizhou Province who has just quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He said more and more people are bravely coming forward to quit the CCP and its related organizations. Even officials in the CCP authorities are busy quitting the CCP! The following statement from Mr. An comes from the interview record.
In mainland China now, not only ordinary people but also high-ranking government officials are eager to withdraw from the Party, even though on surface they remain quiet. We know that millions have declared their withdrawals and those around me are constantly thinking about the matter of quitting the Party. In fact ordinary people in China are all cursing the evil CCP. They all know about its vicious tyranny and they all hate it. They have expressed their intention to renounce it. Hence in China, withdrawing from the Party is the most gratifying act.
In fact no matter what they [the CCP officials] do—what kinds of violence they use, what tactics they adopt—the Chinese people have resolutely decided to sever their ties with the CCP. Very soon we will see increasing number of people, 20 million, 30 million, 40 million and then 50 million, withdrawing from the Party; this will continue until the CCP collapses. It really makes us happy to see more and more people quitting the CCP. Though all is not revealed, we have a feeling that China is going to be saved and there really is hope for China.
I hope those who are still waiting can think over this carefully. Don't be afraid, you are not alone. Aren't there already 17 million people [1] who have withdrawn from the CCP? This all happened in such a short period of time! I feel that if you still live in this country, still love your country, and still have your last shred of conscience remaining—then you should quickly step forward to quit the CCP.
Note [1]. The number of people quitting the CCP continues to increase. At the publication of the English translation of this statement there are already more than 19 million people who have quit the CCP.
