When I was in mainland China, I was monitored, harassed, and threatened by the police from the 610 Office [1] because I used to practice Falun Gong, and because my brother Charles Lee, a US citizen, was imprisoned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). [2] The CCP even used my work place to harass me. After Charles Lee was released and returned to the U.S., the 610 Office still did not stop monitoring and harassing me. The CCP's mouthpiece Jiangsu Legal Paper published articles slandering my family, spreading groundless rumors to deceive the public. The evil police threatened me, trying to prohibit me from taking legal actions.
In the CCP-ruled mainland China, I lead a terrifying life without freedom. To survive, I used to join the CCP and its subordinate organizations.
After I came abroad, I read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Now I understand the destructive damage created by the communist evil spirit. Only when everyone discards the CCP can the Chinese nation be saved. Hereby I declare to quit the CCP and its related organizations, the Communist Youth League and Communist Young Pioneers. I will further eliminate this evil Party's poisoning influence on me. I believe that it will not be long before the CCP disintegrates. The Chinese people will embrace a new epoch free of the CCP.

[1] 610 Office is a Gestapo-like organization that was set up by the CCP in 1999 with the sole mandate of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
[2] Charles Lee, a naturalized US citizen and a Falun Gong practitioner, visited China on January 22, 2003 with the intension to tap into the state-run TV signal to broadcast the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was arrested upon arrival and charged with "sabotaging TV and/or radio equipment." He was sentenced to three years in prison. Charles Lee was released and returned to the US in January 2006.
