FLUSHING, New York City—On July 4, a group of Flushing residents and local overseas Chinese formed a committee to recall New York City councilman John Liu and New York State assemblywoman Ellen Young for not fulfilling the duties of their offices; specifically, not helping Falun Gong practitioners who were attacked by mobs in Flushing, NY.

During the recall committee's first meeting, members and attendees discussed that all evidence indicates that the CCP is influencing elected officials in the United States to increase its overseas influence and to export its philosophy of communism and extreme nationalistic fervor for mainland China, to Chinese living in the U.S..

The committee is collecting evidence which bears out their suspicions that Liu and Young havean intimate relationship with the CCP. The recall committee will submit a request for an investigation to the relevant departments of the United States government.

Threats, Vandalism

Shortly before and after the formation of the recall committee, some committee initiators received threats from alleged Chinese Communist Party (CCP) accomplices.

According to China Peace and Democracy Federation Chairman Tang Boqiao, both he and Wang Jun, Chairman of China Democracy Party World Union, are the targets of online attacks and threats for initiating the recall of Liu and Young. Tang believes the attacks organized by the CCP and its accomplices.

"Why is the CCP and pro-communist mob so anxious about the recall of these two councilpersons? What relationship do they have with these councilpersons?" —Vandalism victim Wang Zhiyuan

Another founding member of the recall committee, Wang Zhiyuan, found that his car tires had been punctured with eight holes. Wang Zhiyuan, a Falun Gong practitioner, discovered the damaged to his tires as he was about to drive to the committee meeting that day.

Wang said, "This is a typical threat method used by CCP spies and accomplices. Why is the CCP and pro-communist mob so anxious about the recall of these two councilpersons? What relationship do they have with these councilpersons?"

Recently the Service Center for Quitting the CCP in Flushing has received telephone threats.

Members of the recall committee believe that any of the CCP accomplices' further actions provide more evidence to recall Liu and Young.

The planned activities of the recall committee will include petitions and detailed investigations into the relationship between the councilpersons and the CCP.
