FLUSHING, New York—After subjecting Falun Gong practitioners to over a month of verbal abuse, assault, and intimidation tactics, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) failed to scare the practitioners away.
Ironically, the constant barrage of attacks directed at the "Quit the CCP" service centers (facilities designed to help people withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations,) actually led to an increasing number of Flushing residents and New York Police Department officers learning the truth of the deeper situation motivating the Flushing riots.
Reports of the tolerance and compassion displayed by Falun Gong practitioners in the face of this unwarranted aggression spread throughout the area and beyond, gaining popularity and support for the embattled practitioners.
Many Flushing residents have said they were angered by what the CCP brought to their community.
According to Ms. Zhou, a female Falun Gong practitioner, June 23 has been the most peaceful day since she came to Flushing four weeks ago. For the entire day she didn't see any CCP thugs distributing anti-Falun Gong flyers.
Chinese and Western people were visiting the Service Center for Quitting the CCP near Flushing library, reading the truth clarification display boards, unmolested by jeering crowds. In fact, all five "Quit the CCP" service centers in Flushing were operating normally.

Another Falun Gong practitioner named Tom reported that the daily newspapers were taken a lot faster on June 23 than before, and he felt very encouraged by this.
When a group of Chinese people saw the news of CCP thug Wei Qiu Wei's recent arrest. they said it cheered their hearts greatly.
"The CCP is threatening Falun Gong practitioners, even taking advantage of elderly and female adherents," said Mike, a Flushing resident. "They've really ignited anger among people here. The Chinese consulate can see the situation has not developed as they imagined. Since they don't know what to do next, they are awaiting further orders from Beijing."
"The CCP is about to collapse," continued Mike, "When people go crazy, isn't the struggle that precedes death exactly like this? No one can save the CCP now, it is discredited and unpopular. From their massacre of students on June 4, 1989 to the crackdown on Falun Gong, they don't have any human nature. Those CCP police in mainland China even beat elderly Falun Gong practitioners—individuals as old as their parents. Isn't that similar to beating up their parents? Where is their humanity?"
CCP Incites Flushing Mobs
"The assailants exposed by The Epoch Times should be punished. This group should be arrested and expelled from United States permanently," stated Mike.
