SAN DIEGO─At the May 3 global Human Rights Torch Relay in San Diego, Wu Fan, President of China Interim Government, gave an impassioned speech for freedom and human rights in China, saying, "The great majority of Chinese citizens inside China have experienced persecution or discrimination, and are deprived of their human rights."
About the goals of the China Interim Government, Wu stated, "In the founding declaration, the China Interim Government has declared to thoroughly annihilate the CCP's tyrannical regime, and to create a future China with freedom, democracy, rule of law, human rights, and a constitution."
Group Ready to Facilitate Peaceful Transition to Democracy, Rule of Law, and Human Rights in China
China Interim Government Among its current advisors are former high-ranking members of the Chinese government and military, members of the Chinese democracy movement and other dissident groups. While most are living in exile in North America, Europe, Australia, and other regions of Asia, some remain in the mainland.
Greetings, ladies and gentlemen! I'm very glad to come here today as the President of the China Interim Government to welcome the arrival of Human Rights Torch in San Diego.
The Chinese Communist Regime has persecuted Falun Gong practitioners for nine years. They have brutally harvested organs from Falun Gong practitioners and sold those organs for profits. They have destroyed Falun Gong practitioners physically. In doing so, the Chinese communist regime has committed a crime against humanity.
People of conscience all over the world have stood up to oppose the Chinese communist regime's crime against humanity. A group of human rights activists and lawyers, and political activists, have formed the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG). In June of 2007, the CIPFG formally announced to the international community that "Crimes against humanity and the Olympic Games cannot coexist in China".
When the International Olympic Committee (IOC) awarded Beijing the 2008 Olympic Games in 2001, it did so with an expectation that the Chinese communist regime would fix its appalling human rights record. Nevertheless, the Chinese communist regime has deceived the whole world, and has continued and stepped up the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners.
According to sources in different regions of China, from January 1 to March 11 of 2008, about 2,000 Falun Gong practitioners have been secretly arrested. Some of them were illegally detained or sentenced, some of them went missing, and some of them were tortured to death. The huge number of Falun Gong practitioners who are illegally detained in the communist regime's forced labor camps or prisons are suffering even more severe kinds of torture because of the new instruction given by the Chinese government to escalate the persecution against Falun Gong.
The Chinese communist regime has not stopped the persecution against Falun Gong for the sake of hosting the Beijing Olympic Games. On the contrary, to ensure their ["incident free"] hosting, the Olympic Games in Beijing have become the communist regime's political pretext for escalating the persecution against Falun Gong. That is why we can see that only by putting an end to the communist regime can the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners stop. Here, I would like to call for the international community to pay attention to the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Why did the Chinese communist regime persecute Falun Gong so brutally? Simply because Falun Gong practitioners have steadfastly persisted in opposing the repression, persisted in clarifying the truth to reveal the Chinese communist party's (CCP) ugly past history and present situation, published the Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party, and persisted in advising Chinese people to quit the CCP and its related organizations.
At present time, over thirty six million people have quit the CCP and its related organizations. This movement of "Quitting-the-CCP" and its related organization is aimed at disintegrating the CCP.
In the founding declaration, the China Interim Government has declared to thoroughly annihilate the CCP's tyrannical regime, and to create a future China with freedom, democracy, rule of law, human rights, and a constitution.
Meanwhile, the Chinese communist regime has stepped up measures to further persecute Falun Gong practitioners and those who sympathize with Falun Gong practitioners. Renowned Chinese attorney Mr. Gao Zhisheng was sentenced to three years imprisonment on charges of "instigating subversion" because Mr. Gao sympathized with Falun Gong practitioners.
Renowned Chinese human rights activists Mr. Hu Jia openly supported and sympathized with attorney Gao Zhisheng and wrote articles criticizing the Chinese communist regime's damaging the welfare and human rights of Chinese people. Mr. Hu let the public know how the welfare of Chinese people has been damaged during the pre-Olympics preparation period. Consequently, the Chinese communist regime sentenced Mr. Hu to three and one half years imprisonment on allegations of "instigating subversion of state power."
"One World, One Human Rights" is the slogan of the Human Rights Torch Relay which is also being passed on in China since late March. The great majority of Chinese citizens inside China have experienced persecution or discrimination, and are deprived of their human rights. The concept of the Human Rights Torch has extended from safeguarding Falun Gong practitioners' human rights to all Chinese citizens' human rights, and has been welcome and supported by people who have suffered from persecution [by the CCP] across China.
Since the Chinese communist regime's violent crackdown on Tibetan people and monks in mid March, there has been widespread sympathy and support for Tibetans from the international community, and in particular, it was reflected in criticizing and resisting the Beijing Olympic torch.
Currently the Chinese communist regime is using the strategy of invoking "nationalism" [for the purpose] to incite some Chinese people and Chinese students to oppose Western democratic countries and thereby divert attention away from conflicts and discontent within their own society and to create international tension, so that ultimately they can preserve the privilege to host the Beijing Olympic Games and maintain the communist regime.
This strategy, however, will definitely push the international community to form an alliance to oppose the communist regime and to unite with other anti-communist organizations. As a result, the alliance to oppose the Chinese communist regime will expand and grow. The Chinese communist regime is definitely "lifting the rock only to drop it on its own foot," and will suffer the consequence of its own doing.
At present time the Human Rights Torch and the Olympics Torch are passing around the globe concurrently, making this the first in the history of Olympic Games. The Human Rights Torch Relay has been warmly welcome and supported by the international community. Whereas the Olympic Torch Relay has been resisted and protested against in democratic countries in Europe and the U.S., and there have been scenes of intense clashes.
This strong contrast is the result of the crimes against humanity committed by the evil Chinese communist regime. The occurrence and the passing of Human Rights Torch proves that the force from inside China to oppose the Chinese communist regime is increasing and strengthening, proves that the Chinese communist regime's reputation is completely ruined in the world, and proves that the Chinese communist regime is on its way to complete destruction.
