FLUSHING, New York City—The premeditated ongoing assaults by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on volunteers working for the Service Center for Quitting the CCP in Flushing, New York since May 17 has aroused concerns in the international community. The global response to the attacks has been condemnation against the CCP and establishment of more service centers.

On June 3, the Flushing Service Center for Quitting the CCP returned to its original location in front of the Queens Library in Flushing after a period of forced relocation caused by the violence incited by the New York Chinese Consulate. Four additional service centers were also established in the center of Flushing. Over a hundred service centers have been established around the world, and more are still emerging.

David Gao, chairman of the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP, said that people around the world have expressed their support for the volunteers in Flushing and protested strongly against the attacks incited by the CCP by setting up more service centers. The circulation, distribution, and discussion of the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party has encouraged people to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Gao believes this phenomenon is the will of heaven.

On June 4, the Ottawa Service Center for Quitting the CCP was established with the vision for a freer and more peaceful and prosperous China. The Ottawa service center appeals to Chinese people to free themselves and their consciences from the clutches of the CCP. The center also protests the attacks in Flushing and hopes the Chinese people can understand the truth and won't allow themselves to be deceived by the CCP.

The CCP quitting center in Louisiana opened on June 5 in order to help more Chinese around the world withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. The center also expressed that the CCP will soon step off the stage of history and condemned the assaults in Flushing.

Other service centers established during early June in the United States include Kansas and Oregon.

Gao expressed that the Flushing incident was an extension of the CCP's global terror campaign. Not long ago the CCP incited Chinese nationalists to gang up against Tibetans protesting during the Olympic Torch Relay and even injured a number of reporters and locals.

Gao believes the goal behind the CCP's actions was to destroy the Flushing service center by using violence and intimidation. Instead, people promoting justice responded by quickly establishing more service centers.

Since the publication of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party by The Epoch Times in November 2004, more and more Chinese have come to realize the evil nature of the CCP and announced their statements of withdrawal from the CCP, the Young League and the Young Pioneers—often referred to as the Three Withdrawals. To date, over 37 million Chinese worldwide have publicly submitted statements of the withdrawal from the CCP and its affiliations.
