EDMONTON—Divine Performing Arts performed the second-to-last showing of their renowned Chinese Spectacular to a delighted Edmonton audience at Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium Tuesday evening.

“I like it. I’m very impressed with the show. Peaceful, very peaceful, very calm,” said University of Toronto surgeon Dr. Tim Riegel.

Dr. Riegel felt the Spectacular certainly promoted awareness of China’s ancient history, spiritual beliefs and the situation with the ruling regime.

“Well so far there is promotion of the long standing culture of 5,000 years, some of the religious beliefs of the gods and some of the tolerance of the Chinese culture and intolerance of th Chinese Communist Party (CCP).”

Riegel added that his favorite performances were ‘The Mongolian Bowl Dance’ and ‘The Loyalty of Yue Fei’ … describing the bowl dance as, “Very, very nice. A lot of skill and a very beautiful performance."

He also described the shows costuming and choreography as “very beautiful”.
