CALGARY, Alberta—The renowned Chinese Spectacular played to a full house at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium on Friday evening for its final show in Calgary.

"I think it was fantastic, very colourful. It's the first time I've been to one of these," said Chinese-Canadian Glen Gsui, an employee for ERCB Energy Board.

"I really liked it. I liked how it had a lot of variety, a lot of ballet and a lot of music. It's a mixture of everything."

"I'd definitely recommend it to my friends or anyone interested in the Chinese arts. It's great exposure to it," said Gsui.

Emma Marr, a face painter and artist remarked on the show's harmony and beauty.

"It was spectacular, it was fabulous. I really liked the colours, the harmony, the music and the dance. Altogether a beautiful show," she said.

"Spiritually, the culture itself I think is the most interesting. Because it is very old and to see it in Canada I think it's very important for our culture to get that."

Roberta Nickel came to see the show after a friend gave her tickets as a birthday present.

"Fantastic! And, please bring back more drummers next time," she said, adding that she especially enjoyed the piece, Fan Dance: Lightness and Grace.

"The costumes are to die for! My favorite number is the fan dance. I really like that one."

"Fantastic, and I would definitely come again."
