TOKYO—On May 18, over ten Chinese students harassed the Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Tokyo, Japan located on the north side of Ikebukuro train station. According to the Service Center organizer, the overseas Chinese students tried to drive away the volunteer workers in the name of soliciting donation for the relief of Sichuan earthquake.

Mr. Li Hongfeng, the Service Center organizer, suspects that these overseas Chinese students were instructed by the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo. Ms. Matsumoto, a volunteer at the center, said that a group of Chinese students came to solicit donation for the Sichuan earthquake disaster and asked Ms. Matsumoto to clear some space for them. The students then proceeded to act rudely; one female student even tore apart the center's exhibition boards.

Over ten students came on Sunday May 18, and threatened to beat up the center volunteers. Ms. Matsumoto said, "These kids would not listen to our explanation. Their eyes looked so vicious as if they had lost their mind."

The day before on Saturday, May 17, a similar situation happened when Chinese students came to harass the center volunteer workers and insulted them with foul words.

On the morning of May 19, the Service Center reported the incident to the Japan National Police Agency, and also contacted the Ikebukuro police.

Reflecting on what happened, Mr. Li said, "Ikebukuro Service Center has been established for three and a half years. Nothing like this has ever happened.

"I feel very sad. The Japanese society values peace, yet the Chinese communist regime exports its culture of hatred. After the [Sichuan] earthquake, the regime immediately made use of its media to defame those Chinese who quit the communist party as 'caring nothing about the earthquake victims,' as being 'non-patriotic.'"
