MADISON, Wis.—On April 19, 2008, a rally celebrating the global Human Rights Torch Relay (HRTR) to raise the awareness of the Chinese communist regime's deteriorating human rights abuses prior to the Olympic Games met with a crowd of hundreds of Chinese protesters.
Clad in red T-shirts and waving China's flag, the fervent Chinese protesters, consisting of mostly students, besieged the rally and caused a commotion at the event.
Suspecting the young Chinese students to be hired by the Chinese Consulate, eyewitnesses were reminded of "Red Guards" during China's Cultural Revolution.
