BUCHAREST, Romania—Like many others in the audience at the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular in Bucharest on Tuesday, Oana Albu was wowed by the lavish cultural show.
"It's fascinating—a fascinating world, a fascinating civilization, an immensity of professionalism, of rigor, of assiduous work," said Albu, an actress.
Albu was impressed by every aspect of the show, including the "Mongolian Bowl Dance," "Victory Drums," and "Herding on the Mongolian Plains."
"I was extremely delighted and fascinated by the theme of the tea cups, the dance of the tea cups, and the final part—the story of the victory drums. Also the Mongolian dance and the interpreters," she said.
Albu added that she equally enjoyed the "soloists with those absolutely wonderful lyrics from their songs, with a simple but so profound message.
"For me the message is that we have to review our lives, our souls, and not to forget to be tolerant."
Known for her robust personality, Albu has acted in plays by August Strindberg and Shakespeare.
