BRISBANE, Australia—The Divine Performance Arts of New York finished its third performance of the Chinese Spectacular in Brisbane on April 8. Many audience members praised the show as the best they had ever seen and said they would return to see the show next year.
Susan, originally from Tianjin City in mainland China, said, "I have lived in Australia for a dozen years. Although I often returned to China, I never saw such a stunning performance before. And it presents the very origin of Chinese culture. I feel like the show brings me back to my hometown."
Susan highlighted that she had not seen before such a highly skilled performance as the 'Mongolian Bowl Dance'.
Chinese Student
Michelle recently came to Australia from mainland China. She is now study advertising in an Australian university. "The excellent performance vividly revives Chinese traditional culture. It is good for all Chinese," she said. Michelle also said her favorite program is 'Nymphs of the Sea'.
'Represents the essence of the Chinese traditional culture'
Ms Zhang Lijin, a fashion designer, told The Epoch Times, "I love the show. When the curtain draws up, woo! My eyes opened wide. The costumes, the stage design, they are so beautiful. It represents the essence of the Chinese traditional culture. Such as 'Lady of the Moon'.' I feel the elegance, just like a fairy lady descending to the human world. The stage design, the dance are all beautiful. I like this performance very much."
Zhang also said, "The program 'The Power of Awareness' is heart-shaking, especially the last scene, when 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance' appears on the backdrop. The theme this performance presents to the audience, it is beautiful, the dance and the music."
Zhang's husband, Jim, is a former teacher and plays a musical instrument. Jim said he liked the last performance, 'Victory Drums', because of its "vigour."
Both Zhang and Jim said they will definitely make time to see the show next year and bring friends as well.
