BRISBANE, Australia—"Visual spectacular is a good name for the show, said Sean after seeing the Spectacular at the Brisbane Convention Centre, "it is just a visually overwhelming sensation."

"The costumes are beautiful, the dance, the precision of the dance, and the stories as well that you are hearing - they're lovely.

"I don't know very much about China and Chinese culture at all—so it's lovely to get a glimpse of those aspects of traditional Chinese art."

Sean is a human rights educator so it was the scenes of persecution in the show that he particularly liked.

"[I liked] the ones which have more stories. So, actually the one with the three young women surviving oppression [the 'Risen Lotus Flower'] - that was a good story. "Also, the one of the guy who was shooting down the eight suns ['Lady of the Moon']… that's a lovely story as well."

Sean said he was very impressed with the dancing and exceptional singing on the night, "Oh, the soprano [Piju Huang]… the hair was standing up on the back of my neck. So it was lovely. [She has] a fantastic voice.

"Also, just as far as dance goes, the 'Mongolian Bowl Dance' was just gorgeous - again spectacular."
