BRISBANE, Australia—Ron Munn and wife Jenny were extremely happy they were able to see the Spectacular on its last night in Brisbane.
Mr Munn, who is president of the National Civic Council (NCC) in Queensland, said he did not know what to expect. "I was wondering what I was coming along to see,'" he said "Absolutely beautiful singing, and just to get an idea of the Chinese culture and legends is something that I've never experienced and glad to be here to experience it."
Mr Munn said the costumes had made a big impression on him and the singing.
"I think the experience is enhanced by the costumes and the very fine singing by the baritone [QuYue] and another young lady [Soprano, Piju Huang].
Jenny Munn said she was very impressed and the production had lived up to its name "I think it's spectacular really, the costumes are absolutely wonderful and the dancing's very good. The drummers were excellent. I think the overall production is excellent." Mrs Munn said, she had also appreciated a deeper meaning in the show.
"A message of peace and goodwill and truth. I think it's very obvious that there is a deep spiritual meaning behind it as well.
The Spectacular will perform next in Canberra, on April 11 and 12, before it proceeds to Adelaide and the New Zealand. .
