BUCHAREST, Romania—Divine Performing Arts' (DPA's) Chinese Spectacular opened tonight, Monday, April 7, at the Bucharest National Theater, the largest and most prestigious theater in Romania, where it performed for a full house.
The Chinese Spectacular brought to Romania scenes from China's 5,000-year-old culture. The audience loved the show and gave it with a standing ovation and 3 curtain calls.
Sandra Petrescu, a telecommunications engineer, and her daughter were in the audience.
She said, "The show was great, and the music was wonderful. There was so much that it is difficult to chose a favorite scene. The backdrop was amazing. I wonder if the backdrop was generated by computer projections."
Petrescu narrowed her favorite shows down to the "Mongolian Bowl Dance," "Drummers of the Tang Court," and "Victory Drums"
She said, "The bowl dance and both drum dances were my favorites."
Her daughter was very impressed with the performance "Water Sleeves." and said, "I liked best the dance with the water sleeves, and I must admit that I really enjoyed the music."

"The colors and the choreography were exceptional," added Petrescu.
Mother and daughter wanted their friends and family to see this performance and said, "I will definitely recommend the show and tell everyone that it is a great cultural show. Also, I will share with them that it was a wonderful show, and that they absolutely shouldn't miss it."
"I will see the show next year, too. I won't miss it," said Petrescu before leaving the theater.
