BRISBANE, Australia—Members of the audience at the Chinese Spectacular currently playing in Brisbane, Australia, praised its inspirational message and hailed it as a true expression of Chinese culture because of its music, dance and costuming, they said.

A 'must see' for Chinese Culture

Jano Pan and Seon-Hui Yu, students from Taiwan and Korea respectively, also saw the show. Jano pointed out how well it reflected the Chinese culture, while his friend Seon-Hui Yu recommended the show to her Korean friends because they like the Chinese culture as well as the Korean culture. "I'm from Taiwan, so I understand the Chinese culture...I just think it's great, magnificent — the performance people…It's a perfect display of Chinese culture," said Jano Pan. "I think it's just great, magnificent!

"If someone wants to know Chinese culture, they must see this performance."

Inspiration

Michaella Nuku and her daughter Breyden, who recently moved to Australia from New Zealand, took in the show last night. Michaella's aunt had introduced the show to them and they found it a very relaxing way to spend an evening. Michaella said that she especially liked the soprano vocalist, while her daughter was taken by the number where ladies in fancy costumes dance with teacups on top of their heads ('Mongolian Bowl Dance')."

But when asked what particularly impressed her, Michaella responded: "I liked the whole storyline…descending from heaven…the whole storyline was just right, just nice. It's a bit of inspiration…a bit of a time out…something else. A 'big impact'

Terry R. de Gunten, owner of the Casablanca Café in Brisbane, thought the show was very interesting for an outsider. He thought the scene from the show where three ladies are imprisoned was on the scale of theatre. "Yes, this one made a big impact on me because of the message," he said.
