BRISBANE, Australia—Greek businessman George Spatalas has travelled the world, but had never seen anything like the Chinese Spectacular.

“This is spectacular, truly spectacular. I haven’t seen anything like this, not [on my travels] around the world — South American, Indonesian and North American. It’s brilliant,” said George, who attended the premier on April 7.

“The story, the Chinese glory, the drumming, I’ve seen a lot of it, a lot. The culture though, the background are brilliant. It’s really important.

“It’s wrong to keep this to only small amount of people. It should go out to a lot more people.

“In Australia, there are so many cultures; everybody would enjoy this. We understand all about this.”

George, who is of Greek heritage, said he had grown up with Chinese people in Sydney and had a special feeling for them “I grow up with Chinese; I also went to school with Chinese, played with Chinese, so my heart is with China.” Mrs Spatalas said the show was “absolutely fantastic”. This [performance]…I found, it's good for the mind and soul. It makes you think something is beautiful, something we don’t normally have. I want to cry.
