BRISBANE, Australia—When Bernadette Dias, a journalist, and her husband Gordon Dias came to watch the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular in Brisbane, they did not know what to expect.

However, after watching the show, they were inspired by the professional choreography and artistic flavour.

The Spectacular was "…a bit more artistic and very professional, very choreographed, which I find quite beautiful…more beautiful than I had expected ," said Mrs Dias.

"It's very beautiful and inspiring; very well done, very well choreographed; the perfection of the movements, the timing is all quite spectacular."

The couple had not had much contact with Chinese performing arts before.

"The drums were very good ['Drummers of the Tang Court'] and also the tea dance ['Mongolian Bowl Dance'], and the ['Water Nymphs'] one was very good as well," she said, while her husband enjoyed the 'Water Sleeves' dance.

When asked how they would describe the Chinese Spectacular to their friends, Mrs Dias said: "I would say a celebration of Chinese culture, dance and skill."
