SYDNEY, Australia—"It took my breath away; I cannot explain it. I was overwhelmed with emotion; it is just amazing, just amazing. So beautiful," spoke Ms Kelly Douglass of the opening scene 'Descent of the Celestial Kings' at the Chinese Spectacular show in Sydney.
"The singers wow! Oh my...I think that is the highlight. That male singer at the end there, that was beautiful, and the tenor, if not better."
"I cried actually on his last song, on the last song he sang."
Ms Douglass was referring to tenor Hong Ming.
She thought the song lyrics were "very deep, very spiritual".
"The music brought an emotion to the whole thing. I just cannot explain it – there's no words. It's just so beautiful!"
"I like the separate men and women feel. The women looked like they were floating and peaceful and the men very dramatic."
"It separates [from] ballet because the males are quite feminine in it, but in this men were very powerful and spectacular."
Her favourite act was 'The Power of Awareness' and she most liked seeing the little girl hold up the banner that read 'Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance'.
"It brought the story to someone who doesn't know a lot about over in China; kind of put it on his face about what is happening and the injustice and everything."
When asked what memory she would hold from the performance, Ms Douglass answered: "I am just about to go travelling for a while and this just gives me a sense of spirituality, faith and peace. And how hard people work with what is happening in the world. How hard people work to bring justice."
Ms Kelly Douglass described the 'Victory Drums' as "amazing" and the show as "the best show" she has ever seen.
