SYDNEY, Australia—Personal development consultant Mayo Tmaterazzo says the Chinese Spectacular is a very well-produced show.
"I used to be in the film industry so I think it was very good. I really loved the costumes, the dancing, and the idea of using the mixed media with the film at the back."
"That was really very good and spiritual aspects as well. You don't see very much of that. So I thought that was very good. Putting tradition and the spiritual aspects together," she said.
Ms Tmaterazzo was at the show on Saturday evening.
She said there is something very similar between the western and the traditional Chinese dance, but the Chinese was "probably more uplifting".
She particularly enjoyed the drumming. "I thought the drumming was fantastic. I loved the drumming," she said.
She also enjoyed the first performance, 'Descent of the Celestial Kings', where the gods come down from the heavens.
"That was really very good, yes I loved that one and the very last one with the scarfs. 'Water Sleeves'. Yeah, that was great. Very good," she said.
She said she liked that she could learn about Chinese culture and history through the show. "I like that idea. I liked the actual history behind it. And maybe the understanding, the virtual understanding in this is not dissimilar to some western thinking as well—so it is very good," she said.
