SYDNEY, Australia—After attending the final night of the Chinese Spectacular in Sydney on Saturday night, dance teacher Kerry Richardson could not hold back her excitement.

"It was just beautiful. The dancers were gorgeous and the costumes were stunning…it was just amazing. We are kind of just shocked at how beautiful. And it was just so serene and it was just amazing."

She emphasised the quality of the dancing as a particular highlight of the show.

"Definitely the dancing. The opening, we just went 'oooh'. We were lost for words when the curtains opened and it was just stunning. And they were just floating on air – it was just beautiful," said Mrs Richardson referring to the opening act, 'Descent of the Celestial Kings'.

"It's just very authentic. It just takes you back to a place that you have never been before and you just wanted to get on stage with them."

Mrs Richardson also commented on the difference between Eastern and Western dance, noting that Chinese dance had a very "difference flavour" to it.

"Stunning technique, beautiful, really nice. They were very graceful on their feet, but it had a very natural flow and good feeling and strength.

The Spectacular also stirred some deeper feelings and prompted greater awareness.

"I think I learned that anybody can help and understand the story and promote the story to the people that aren't aware of it," said Mrs Richardson of the Falun Dafa numbers in the show.

She also agreed that the teachings of Falun Dafa – Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance – presented in some of the numbers of the show are universal.

"It's something that I think we can all take on board and demonstrate it to others," she said.
