SYDNEY, Australia—A Sydney woman, who has a dancer in the family, has commended the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular show. Doreen said the performances were "unbelievable" and "absolutely enjoyable".

"The background and the scenery are out of this world. It's wonderful. We're so lucky that we got to see it. We only got them [flyers about the show] today," she said.

When asked what she believed were the differences between ballet and Chinese dance, she said the Chinese style is "elegant" and "absolutely beautiful".

Margaret, who was with Doreen at the time, said she liked the opening performance called 'Descent of the Celestial Kings'.

"The clouds and backdrops are absolutely wonderful. It's beautiful. And you're able to see the story being told," she said.

Although many of the performances are rich in Chinese culture and tradition, many Australians are still able to grasp the inner meaning thanks to technological innovation.

"Because of the [translated] words being shown [on the backdrop], that helps a lot," said Margaret.
