STOCKHOLM, Sweden—The Chinese Spectacular came for another performance to Stockholm's Circus Theater.

Sam Paris, a well-known entertainer, who has performed in places such as the Lido De Paris in France, the annual Opera festival at Frankfurt's "Old Opera" and in Broadway's Hudson Theater, was one of the people who saw the show.

"I'm a singer and dancer," he said, "and my show is similar to what is shown in the Lido. But, sometimes I do some other shows as well, so I take different elements, like if it is Motown [the Motown sound began in 1958 and is African American music that helped break down the race barrier on radio], I have a Motown show. If it is classic I have a classic show, and if it is like a little younger, hip-hop, I do that too. But, there are different elements, lots of dance and lots of interaction on stage. So that's the type of shows I do."

"I've been here [in Sweden] since my son was born. My son is 4 years old. I came two months before he was born, and I've been here since then. Before that I was based in Paris, France and traveled from there throughout the entire world doing my show."

It was by chance that Mr. Paris heard about the Divine Performing Arts Company and its Chinese Spectacular show. He visited the Stockholm Opera to familiarize himself with the stage for a book he is writing, as that is the place where his story starts. Outside the opera people were distributing flyers about the Chinese Spectacular. He took one and moved on. Then he bumped into a lady handing out flyers, who told him about the show and the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

"She told me these incredible stories–horror stories that have been happening in China, the oppressive regime, Falun Gong, and organ harvesting. I was so stunned! I was shocked you know! I grew up in America, and you don't really fear something like this happening. My God, I was horrified by that."

He shared that he was also in show business. In the end, he was so taken by all he heard that he had to come see the show.

"That's how I came to know about the show. I was trying to find out how I can help with the show." He said without hesitating, "I'm going to find a way to make contributions to your show as well, I don't know if one can contribute. But, one way or another I would more than like to support your cause."

"I was just blown away, because this isn't just a show that entertains you, but a show that makes you feel spiritually fulfilled. I was feeling emotional at a different level."

"The [show's] impact kept recurring throughout the performance. I was just really amazed on the spiritual level and on the artistic level. I was immensely impressed with the technique, the discipline, and the timing of the dancers. You know, no matter how awesome the Lido dancers are, they are sometimes all over the place. But all the dancers in this show were as one, in unison, on time, correct? It just amazed me. You know, the world needs to know!"

"Brilliant. Brilliant costumes. I would like to have some of those costumes in my show!"

The hosts weren't so much up his aisle, as he neither speaks Swedish nor Chinese. But, he still felt that "they were great, very gracious, and very interesting." He remembered two words the hostess sang, "Dafa Hao" [Falun Dafa is Good]. He continued, "I'll remember that … but other than that … yeah, it was a fabulous show.

"Excellent! Bravo! Well done! Come back as many times as possible. I really liked that."
