SYDNEY, Australia—Andrew Yoon, a businessman from South Korea, was deeply stirred after seeing Thursday night's performance of the Chinese Spectacular.
Mr Yoon has come to Australia to study the travel industry and he couldn't have been happier to be part of the audience during the Spectacular's Sydney leg.
Though the shy, well-dressed man struggled to express his feelings in English, three words from the performances had left their mark and were resoundingly clear despite his heavy accent.
"[It is to] teach us Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance," he said.
Mr Yoon's favourite programme was the opening scene, entitled 'Descent of the Celestial Kings', which he said left a message for him.
"The divine culture from the heavens...it was fantastic. It left a strong message for me."
He also commented on the performances about Falun Gong ['The Risen Lotus Flower' and 'The Power of Awareness'], saying "I knew the Chinese Mainland Government is imprisoning these people...now I understand their message."
Overall, Mr Yoon felt that the Spectacular helped him to understand and appreciate Chinese culture and dance, as well as China's ancient history.
"I thought it was fantastic," he said.
