VANCOUVER—NDP MP Bill Siksay, who attended the premiere of the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular at Surrey's Bell Performing Arts Center on Friday, said he was impressed by the unique cultural show.

"I'm impressed, it's so beautiful to look at, the dancers are so agile and the stories are very interesting as well. And the ending of the first half with the drummers — that was terrific. I really liked the drummers in the end of the first half, the passion, and the pulse of it. It made all my insides vibrate"

The Spectacular has been on an international tour since January of this year, reviving the true traditional Chinese dance and music and bringing it to the global community.

"I think it's great to celebrate the long culture and history of China, There are so many positive things to celebrate in China." said Siksay. "This is certainly demonstrating a number of those things. I am really glad to be here and learn more about Chinese culture."
