MUNICH, Germany—Amelie Guenon, a 14-year-old from Tuebingen, was one of six students from the same school who attended the Chinese Spectacular on Saturday at Miunich's Prince Regent Theater.

"It was interesting to view the differences in cultures between China [and here], and to learn about the various Chinese traditions. It was nice to see such beauty. The dances and music were very appealing," said Guenon.

"It looked quite impressive. Each dance conveys a different message. It was easy to follow the plots and pleasing to the eye."

The piece, Power of Awareness, in which a Falun Gong adherent and her young child are accosted in a park, especially moved Guenon, who said, "If all of us work together we can abolish the evil."

A spiritual practice with the guiding principles of Truth, Compassion and Tolerance, Falun Gong is rooted in Chinese traditional culture. However, it was outlawed in 1999 and has since been brutally suppressed by the Chinese communist regime.
