AUCKLAND, New Zealand—Alfred and Dianna were so touched by the Chinese Spectacular that they wanted to share their feelings about it after the show. In an interview with The Epoch Times, they did just that. Here's some of what they had to say.

When asked what most appealed to him about the show, Alfred Mitchell said it was "the whole thing about truthfulness, compassion, and, forbearance." These three words were revealed on a banner in Chinese in one of the performances 'The Power of Awareness', and were also in the lyrics of 'Rest in Knowing,' sung by tenor Hong Ming.

"...in the songs, when they put the words up, I thought they were very spiritual messages. All...everything. Everything about the whole thing. And the culture too, you know the stories, telling the stories, their traditional stories and dance, it was great. Everything was good about it, the background music and everything. It's unique, it's unique," said Alfred of his overall impression of the show.

Dianna agreed, also amazed by the singing by tenor Hong Ming: "That male singer was amazing, the second one. It was so powerful music about heaven and earth, that was really strong, you could feel it, his whole body showed it, expressed it, very powerful."

Alfred also liked 'Predestined Relationship' performed by Erhu soloist, Mei Xuan, "The one that played that instrument, what was it? Two strings. Oh, that was beautiful, beautiful music, beautiful, yeah."

The company of performers were appropriately named said Dianne. "Divine, what do they call themselves? Divine Performing [Arts]... that's perfect. That's exactly what it was. A divine experience."

Alfred thought so as well "And it's beautiful colours. It's like a fantasy world, like a fantasy world."

"I was saying to Alfred on the way out, you know a lot of these western performances, the women are in tight clothes and hardly anything on", said Dianne about other performances she has seen.

"[But] these women carry themselves so gracefully and beautifully with what they're wearing, and they carry mana that these other western women and men, the performances could learn a lot by and from. A lot of their presence, their divinity; that shows. Absolutely. And the message. The messages. The old teachings came through. The whole theme was gathering," she said.

Alfred had a similar impression: "And there's a message there, a message of what's happening to this world there. The message of what's happening to this world. It's like saying that we've lost our way. Humanity have lost our way. That's what I got from the outset, the messages. They're saying, go back 5000 years ago, and since 5000 years ago, we've sort-of deteriorated. Humanity as a whole."

"And it was a message of retrieving our basic spiritual principles of life. And it's so simple. And they did it so simply, yet so profound," added Dianne.

"Go back to the truth." Alfred concluded.
