Mr. Herbert Ernst from Munich (Cao Gong/The Epoch Times)

MUNICH, Germany—Herbert Ernst, an executive for an international moving business, thoroughly enjoyed the Chinese Spectacular at Munich's Prince Regent Theatre on Saturday.

"I must say I was impressed and touched," he said, adding that he particularly liked "the human touches, those were grand."

"Emotions and soul-searching came across quite well, it was sometimes stirring — the content and the music."

He said the performance's vivid colors stand in stark contrast to present-day realities of life. "Show-goers can find harmony and breathe easy."

He found the piece, "Lady of the Moon" a representation of prevailing circumstances [in China], "like Pandora's box - demonstrating the evil and the burning questions regarding one's existence."

He complimented the beauty and harmony of the Spectacular. He enjoyed the songs, particularly the soprano's skills, but he was especially impressed by tenor Guan Guimin's performance.

"One would assume that a man will be impressed when women are singing, but this tenor — he was enchanting! I was moved several times. The show lets one take a deep breath, and one is left with the impression that people [in China] will soon once more experience life free from suffering, free from fear-induced aberrations."
