TAMPERE, Finland—Anna Stenback attended Tuesday's Divine Performing Arts (DPA) Chinese Spectacular at Tampere Hall with her parents Jan-Erik and Aulikke.
Anna, 13, has been dancing since she was three and knows the world of dance very well. She recognized the professionalism of the DPA dancers.
"It is very nice with many colours and the choreography is very good. You can see that the dancers have been practicing a lot and when they do pirouettes you see that they have found the "point," said Anna, 13.
With synchronized dancing, Anna said it would be very obvious if one of the dancers was even a little bit off. She stressed the importance of concentrating on others and not only on oneself.
"You learn how it is to be a professional dancer, you understand that it is pretty tough," she said.
"I especially liked when the men danced, but all the numbers were good in their way and the whole show was very good."
Anna's father, Jan-Erik, who works in ADB-consulting, said he found the Spectacular very interesting.
"It is the first time I see something Chinese. In one part I went so deep into the reassuring music that I almost fell asleep. The drums where my favourite," he said.
Jan-Erik added that he's worried about the situation in China regarding human rights and especially the current unrest in Tibet.
"I don't want to go to China, I get a bit worried, because it is very bad with the human rights. It is as it was in Russia or the Soviet Union in the old days.
"The show has a strong message, but that is good, very good," said Jan-Erik.
Aulikke said her favourite part of the Spectacular was the Mongolian Bowl Dance.
"The girls danced very well," she said.
