SYDNEY, Australia—Australian entertainment icon and singer Kamahl says he "highly recommends" the Chinese Spectacular, after attending the opening show in Sydney at the Entertainment Centre, Wednesday night.

"I think the show is fantastic; I think the dancing is brilliant; I think the drumming is good," Kamahl said.

He was particularly impressed with the multimedia backdrop, which he said he had never seen being utilised before.

"I think the production, you know the rear projection with the film at the back, is a very new idea and I think it's very, very clever and very enjoyable. It's fantastic.

"I have never seen it done like this before. Like when they where shooting at the sun and when [they] came down...and all of the back drop and the scenery is thoroughly fantastic," he said, referring to the 'Lady of the Moon' dance.

"It's a new idea. I have never seen it before and it is thoroughly enjoyable — the dancing the singing and the content."

He also believed the singing was "excellent, especially the tenor, a very good tenor".

When asked what he learned about Chinese culture, the celebrity singer and Member of the Order of Australia said he enjoyed the aspects of the show that portrayed aspects of the traditional belief-system of Falun Gong.

"The message of Falun Gong, it's a very important message. I've been aware of Falun Gong; it's a wonderful philosophy and it would be fantastic if everybody can practise Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.

"If we all have it, we won't have any more problems in the world," he said.

He went on to say: "It makes you forget your troubles and it's an hour or two of the best way you could enjoy your time — it's wonderful."
