AUCKLAND, New Zealand—The cultural aspects of the Chinese Spectacular drew Auckland doctor Parbaman Ngi to the show on Saturday night.
"I just came to see the show because I heard it was going to be very good," he said.
He said both Indian and Chinese cultures are very closely related.
"And I liked especially the Buddhist monks coming in, that was fantastic. And the drumming was beautiful," he said.
"The uniform dancing is really fantastic," he said.
More Awareness of Chinese Culture
Bill Pollock, who currently works in China, said that the show gave him more awareness of Chinese culture and a lot of what they have to offer, "especially with the acrobatics and learning something that has been the basics of gymnastics that I have seen today, learning something new all the time".
"Very diverse, well 5000 years of culture, and very varied dance through to song through to drums and percussion." He particularly enjoyed the drumming "because it was energetic and it was fast and very rhythmic".
Bill also mentioned the 'Mongolian Bowl Dance' as a favourite. His overall impression: "Totally glamorous and it's a very awesome show!"
