AUCKLAND, New Zealand—The final Chinese Spectacular show at the ASB Theatre in Auckland impressed nutritionist Margery Pryor.
She said she thought the show was fantastic.
"I love the vibrancy and all the colors of the costumes, the elegance of all of the performers, the passion that went into the performance, and I just thought that the whole thing was really quite eye opening.
"It was a really a neat insight into the Chinese culture and I think it's fabulous to, you know, expose our selves and our children to another culture and keep open minds on things, so it's fantastic," she said.
She heard about the show from her niece.
"I loved the drumming ones because I love rhythm and I also really loved the Mongolian Tea ['Mongolian Bowl Dance'] one and the Falun Dafa one ['The Power of Awareness'] was quite interesting .. just to see them perform, you know, the one in the park and everything, so that seemed really interesting as well," she said.
She took her son Josh to the show.
"It's been pretty cool. An introduction to the Chinese culture, my first one," he said.
"I liked the drumming one and the one where they jumped everywhere, flips," he said. He also enjoyed 'The Mongolian Bowl Dance'.
He would tell his friends that "it's a great show and it's worth your money".
