MILAN, Italy—Francesco Pimpinelli, an executive coach who works in the field of leadership development, said the Chinese Spectacular which he attended at Milan's Allianz Theatre on Wednesday, was "a good new experience."

"It was very interesting. It was the first time I saw something like that." he said.

"I liked very much the choreography, with the flowers, the mountains, the sea, and the more nature-oriented ones, as well as some pieces of music like the one with the Chinese chord music. That was really very, very beautiful."

Pimpinelli said he appreciated the traditional values portrayed in the Spectacular.

"I like also this idea of reviving the values of the Chinese culture which is very rich…values of integration with nature, kindness, these kinds of things. This sense of transmitting the values of the Chinese culture somehow comes through in the arts, the ballet, the choreography, the music."

Pimpinelli added that the blend of western and Chinese instruments in the show was "a great, new and unusual combination" and that he especially enjoyed the piano player: "She had a very delicate sound."

Curiosity was what brought him to see the Spectacular.

"A friend of mine told me about this, and I was curious, I'm a curious person so…I work as a cross-cultural consultant for businesses and I was curious to know and I said well, I mean this is very new. I have never seen something like that in Milan, so let's go and have a look.

"I'm happy I was here to listen and to see it — a good new experience."
