AUCKLAND, New Zealand—Cousins Gorica Stojadinovic and 8 year old Monique Pitt saw the Spectacular with friend Aleksandar Klisaric at the ASB Theatre in Auckland for the finale in New Zealand.

They were really surprised at the quality of the show and learnt a few things as well.

"I have a lot of friends who are Chinese," said Ms Stojadinovic, "but I have never seen something so professionally done."

Mr Klisaric, an account manager, said: "I learnt a few things from the presenters about the dance, for example, where the gymnastics came from, so that was pretty interesting."

Ms Stojadinovic, a student of music and opera at the conservatorium in Auckland, was most taken with the opera singers, particularly soprano, Pi-ju Huang and her rendition of 'May You Understand'.

"The lady that sang, she had such a beautiful voice, and the Chinese words sounded so nice in opera," she said.

New Zealanders have exhibited great admiration for the Chinese opera singers in the Spectacular this year, with solid applause seeing Pi-Ju perform encores for every show.

Mr Klisaric, said Ms Stojadinovic was also a soprano and was very good.

Eight year old Monique said she was enjoying seeing so many young performers dancing with such professionalism and was inspired to continue her dance lessons.

"It was really well for young people—they did really well with flips and everything."

She said she particularly liked the 'Lady in the Moon' for all the dancing with all its flips.

She said she would tell all her classmates about the show in the 'news' session at school.

"I would tell them that I went to the Chinese Spectacular and they were really flexible people and they were doing these acrobatics and singings and dancing and drumming."

Ms Stojadinovic said she would just tell people "go to it", while Mr Klisaric said, "I would say it was brilliant."
