AUCKLAND, New Zealand—Those who attended the second night of the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular in Auckland on April 18 spoke highly of the "perfection" in the performances.

David Prudhomme, an overseas student from Belgium, said that it was the "custom, the music and the opera" that made the biggest impression on him.

"The dancing is very amazing and is perfect you know, and yes, very impressive," he said.

He commented that the performances had a dual effect on him — they were both "exciting" and "relaxing" at the same time.

"I was very exciting because you can see the dancing and be very impressed by that, that you can be very relaxed when you hear the sing[ing], and very, very cool, relaxed and, it's like you can thinking about a lot of thing when you heard this beautiful voice... very beautiful to watch." David said he got "goosebumps" when sitting in the theatre.

He also appreciated the historical and cultural value of the show, saying: "It's a story about the China and it's representative about the life in China. And it's a representative by dancing, singing".

For David, this was his first taste of Chinese culture and he said he was "very happy" to see it as the show was "amazing".

Also attending the Spectacular on Friday was Tobias Linsday, a builder from Auckland.

He really enjoyed the drums and said the "experience at the show will remain for a long time".
