AUCKLAND, New Zealand— Ricki Morin, announcer for Radio Network was really impressed by the premiere of the Chinese Spectacular on Thursday. Mr Morin is originally from Canada, but has lived in New Zealand 23 years.

He said the show was great. "It was a beautiful, beautiful show it really was. The drums were really good, the drumming."

He said he really enjoyed the tenor Hong Ming who sang 'Rest in Knowing'.

"They were all really good I thoroughly enjoyed it."

Structural engineer Stewart Hobbs said he really enjoyed seeing the Chinese culture.

"I like it. Yeah. I respect it, like I respect other cultures," he said.

"I am a man's man so I enjoyed the drum and dance. But I think the soprano [Pi-ju Huang], she was very good too, very talented," he said.

"I like it. I like dance and the point of difference made me come here."

He said he hopes the show comes back next year as well.
