ADELAIDE, Australia—After seeing the Chinese Spectacular advertised on television and at the Chinese market place Cathy O'Donnell was eager to buy a ticket for her mother as an early Mothers Day present. They attended with daughters (grand daughters) Hannah and Louise.

When asked if she enjoyed her mother's day present Cathy Rilstone said "Oh It was fantastic it really was, I loved all of it but I particularly loved the drummers, I thought were fantastic, and all the backgrounds that came up, each background picture seemed to be more alive than the one before, it was really lovely. I loved all the girls and I loved the costumes, but the drums were really something… I thought they were terrific. And the singer [tenor Hong Ming] hearing that man, he's only a little guy but he' got a voice, he's really, really fantastic, the tenor, he's really amazing." The audience clapped so loudly and long for Hong Ming's performance did an encore.

Her daughter Cathy O'Donnell added "I loved the lady waterfall, in the blue ['The Nymphs of the Sea'], yes I did, and I really particularly liked the ladies of the court (Ladies of the Manchu Court), that was just, ohh…It would be nice to see them [the Chinese Spectacular ] here for a bit longer, sad for only 2 days, hopefully next year we can persuade them to stay longer"

Both mother and daughter were very appreciative of the divine nature of some of the performances when talking about 'Descent of the Celestial Kings' "I think it's nice to have the religious connotation too" and of the information about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China in 'The Risen Lotus Flower' and they compared this to the religious freedoms in Australia. The younger Cathy said "they're persecuted for their religious beliefs in China… I think we are very fortunate to be able to welcome Falun Dafa in such a tolerant environment, do you know what I mean? To be persecuted for your religion, is awful.… I think we as Australians, or you know, as living in Australia are very tolerant to other religions"

Mother Cathy added "Were very lucky to live in Australia, we take things for granted … there's a lot of religions in Australia different religions." And her daughter said "I think too, having the opportunity to portray it in Chinese is important too, its important for the Chinese, they're so fearful [of the Chinese regime]."

Cathy, the mother, made a veiled reference to the baritone's song in the first half, and summed it up by adding: "They say the truth sets you free!"
